I spoke with someone I thought was a med person getting an intake. She was a psych major working on her Bachelors who tried to sell me and my wife ( who had no interest) for blood work I’d already had and kept asking me about Brian got. This place is a scam.

The staff is so helpful. My labs were from another provider and they got them into my file here so my new provider had the info the next day. And my new provider at Med Matrix is the best. I’ve worked in labs, small and large hospitals and she’s the best that I’ve ever met and worked with.

I had little to no experience with functional medicine, but knew I needed help, and I wasn’t going to get it with my crappy health insurance. From the moment I walked into Med Matrix I felt HEARD about the way I was feeling. I’m a 48 year old female and I’m having A LOT of symptoms and weight gain. I had bloodwork done and my hour meeting with Dr. Sasha Rose explained it all and we made a plan to start on my journey to optimum wellness. I feel very supported and the team has been (and continues to be) there for me for any questions I have moving forward on this journey. I’m so excited to learn more, and feel the best I can! I was excited, as many are, of what this place advertised. I am, however, very disappointed. I am unemployed so I thought going to Med Matrix to get bloodwork done and having someone help me sounded great. My appt day came, I waited more than 30 minutes, no one else was there, finally met with the technician and got blood taken. Paid and was setting up my follow up with the doctor, the first available appt was 2 months away! I was put on the waitlist. I got my results and I def need to talk to someone now, not in 2 months! Now I’m going to send my results to my PCP and get her help instead! I might just cancel the schedule appts and take the $$$$ loss! I emailed them about my experience, all I got was that they agreed with my issues and again said they’d put me on the waitlist list!

Where you can get comprehensive lab work ups and in body tests in one place that will actually show you how your body is functioning. The staff and facility were excellent. If your tired of the same ol give em a pill care and limited testing by traditional insurance based providers then check this place out.

High quality and friendly services. For those sick of being handed statins, BP meds and told “it’s just part of getting older” - we don’t need to accept that. I’m down a significant amount of weight through their thoughtful treatment- the prescriptions that are tailored for me, my body and how I work. Collin is sharp, understands that at certain ages we don’t just have to accept what one person or doctor decides and these modern treatments doctors rarely want to discuss are viable and effective options. The services and membership might be a significant cost to many, but for the right people the investment has certainly been worth it.

Med Matrix saved my life. Thank you Dr. Rose, Sarah, Shauntelle, Tammy, and everyone else who I’ve interacted with at Med Matrix. I showed up to my first appointment like a woman undone, because that is exactly who I have become since my attempts to get my very serious health issues properly diagnosed and treated have not worked. It turns out the mysterious debilitating “skin” issues that have been plaguing me for years is lupus (with a lovely side of anemia). Which has very clearly affected my cognition, so I appreciate the patience with which all of the staff have had for me.

I am writing a 5 star review even though I did not go through with their service after my initial screening call. I was very interested in getting more comprehensive testing done but felt if there were concerns raised by the results I would want to work with my PCP and insurance for long term treatment options. They explained that is not the business model their program is based on. While I could engage them for testing and initial consultation, their practice centers on holistic treatment options. Because of that, there are other testing only options which would give me a comprehensive set of test results - with the option for me to bring the results to my PCP. I have great respect for a company that knows its mission and advises potential customers when it is not a good match! Shout out to Emily!

All of the staff at the S. Portsmouth, Maine Med Matrix were great! They were personable and professional. We didn’t have to wait long and felt listened to and cared for. I appreciated the state of the art equipment. I would have liked to have had a few minutes in the massage chair, but that’s really the only other thing that could have made the experience better! Ooh, and maybe a skin check too, like for moles and things. I would definitely come more often if it was closer to our home. (It took us about two and a half hours to drive there.)

I have to say, I checked the reviews and was never more excited to finally have some answers as to why I could not lose weight. I was looking forward to something other than GLP-1 that made me terribly ill and unable to function. With that said, I had an intake appointment yesterday at 2:30. I not only got a call 5 minutes after making the appointment but, got a text 5 minutes prior and was available for the call. That time went by, the 3 went by, then 3:30 went by, I was no longer available. It wasn't until after 4, but I am not sure if it was even them calling from a New York number. I have to say that I was very disappointed and disrespected that my time was not valued. This is even more disappointing because I would have been paying out of pocket for that kind of service as they do not take insurance. Needless to say, I will not be following up with this facility. Too bad, I thought it would really be my answer.

I found this organization on Instagram- I think people should very much second guess medical help from ads on instagram. Either way, I went through the free phone interview, talked about my auto immune disease, and the man kept asking very bizarre questions in a real scripted manner like- “so would you just keep going back to your doctor every three months even if the meds consistently didn’t have any effect?” or “what would you do if your other joints start swelling?” Or “where do you see yourself in 2 years with this disease?” I mean, these are not pertinent questions to a medical issue. Seems like he was trying to bait me into answering something that he’d be able to then use to sell his product. I didn’t take the bait lol. My takeaway is that this company is probably run by private equity, and they’re simply looking to get paid. I will definitely be taking my business to a more local establishment.

I paid $1500 for a blood test that any Dr could have provided under insurance. I thought that would included some services/subscription or value. Then I went to order GLP-1 they again asked for $990 for 3 months because I wasn't going to become a member. No discount because I was not becoming a member. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a member. I had 2 apts no show and I called the office several times and no return call. only wanted GLP-1 with someone to ask questions to and that is not how this company is set up.

I absolutely love MedMatrix! I’ve held off on writing a review until I had more experience with them. Every visit I’ve had, in person and virtual has been great! The staff are all so nice and down to earth. They’ve made me feel comfortable, given me answers, and solutions! By far the best experience I’ve had with any medical facility! I absolutely recommend giving them a try. It may seem “pricey” but to me, the cost is well worth it!

I think this place is very very shady. Had several communication thru text with a William L, even had a picture. Asking me personal questions about my health. When I get to the phone call. He tells me I wasn’t actually communicating with him. It was an assistant. That is not ok. If the assistant hadn’t given me the wrong information he probably wouldn’t have even told me. That is deceptive and bad business practice. It’s probably also illegal.

I don’t love doing blood work but Alayna and Robin made it a very pleasant experience! Looking forward to my next appt :) Edit to add after 1st appt: an amazing appt with Dr Rose and Alayna! I could have chatted with them for hours. We came up with a great action plan and I am excited for the next appt in 3 months to see what’s changed in my labs and how I am feeling.

First time in today, quick an efficient, friendly staff and service! They have a sweet massage chair in the waiting room. I was just about to sit down as I was a half hour early thinking I would have some time and they ended up taking me early, and with the weather we had today I was very sight because I really wanted to go on a bike ride! Needless to say I got to enjoy a lot of good sunshine today and left feeling like med matrix knew their stuff. Excited to sharpen my health!

Quick in and out because I had all my information filled out ahead of time and showed up early for my appointment I was able to get started and leave before my original appointment even began! After bloodwork showed vitamin, mineral, and hormonal deficiencies (which my PCP hadn’t detected) I’m running again and doing strength workouts 3 days a weak, and feeling the strongest I have in a long time! Zero stars honestly and I've never given 0 stars on any review ever. If you are someone who is looking for real answers about your health, STAY AWAY. I was very specific, from beginning to end, with everyone at this office about my health struggles, and although they assured me they were different from other dismissive doctors, it was far from what they described. They needed over 1k up front (no insurance accepted) just to do an average office visit where they weighed me and took one blood sample. I came in with unexplained symptoms, and in a desperate situation for answers, which they promised me they'd test for and that they had I different approach to personal medicine. So I handed over the money, of course. After one 15min visit, an obscure bmi and 1 blood lab done. It took over two months for a man on video call to tell me to watch my cholesterol.... Turns out I have an autoimmune disorder and I'm in full menopause at 33 years old, but the doctors there just thought I was fat. 👍

I had been searching for a homeopathic place that focused on the whole body instead of just a lengthy list of diagnosis’s and meds thrown at me. I found med matrix and the discovery call I had not only gave me hope, but made me feel like somewhere, someone cared more than a 15 minute appointment. I drove 3 hours to go to my first appointment yesterday. I was greeted by two staff who were incredibly kind and supportive. The nurse who did my scan and took my blood was genuinely kind, receptive to my questions, and used humor which is my language. I am bad with remembering names but her brother and I share the same birthday and you could tell her love for people and to help them was pure. Surely can update after meeting with the Dr. to go over results for those who are wondering, but as of right now this is the first time I’ve felt even seen in a Dr. facility. I highly recommend.

Had been talking to some friends about our mutual journeys through middle age, the highs and lows that come with them, and how we’re each trying to navigate them individually. HRT came up and none of us had yet tried it…but had been seeing more articles regarding the benefits. Around the same time I started seeing ads for various local places that offer HRT and Med Matrix was one that popped up repeatedly. Went through the reviews and decided to give them a call with the favorable recommendations. Met with one of the Dr.’s to discuss my symptoms and had some bloodwork done. It has been a life changing decision to move forward with them! It’s not cheap, but the Health benefits with their recommendations have helped make a 180 turn for me and I can’t recommend them enough. One hundred percent happy with the results and appreciate the staff and their care.

My first introduction to this facility was very impressionable. I was welcomed into a pristine environment by prossional Sarah who instructed me on filling out the intake form. Then Brandi, RN, proceeded to take my vitals and blood samples and thoroughly explained the numbers. I was out in record time and anxiously look forward to speaking to a provider, preferably in person, but because of time contrants, I may have to do this stage virtually. Either way, it was a great experience for this step!

My recent visit was my first time coming to the office, I found the office to be beautiful and the staff to be very friendly. The nurse/ technician that did my check in was amazing! I advised her when I came in that I was a hard stick, which means my veins hide, break, roll and move, and they didn't disappoint, she never showed a sign of frustration or giving up, she was GREAT! It took her a few stabs and a sauna visit to get my veins to cooperate but she finally found one and was wonderful! She explained everything she was doing and all the machines she was using and just made my husband and I feel very welcome and comfortable. On a scale of 1-5 I give a score of 5 for her, I can't score much more since it was my first visit, but everyone we did meet yesterday was very pleasant and explained everything.

My husband has been seeing cardiology and had a heart surgery. His provider here checked expanded labs and found his thyroid off due to an autoimmune disease. Idk what else we would have had happen to have them actually look beyond his heart. Thank you for looking into the root cause

UPDATE 2/25/25: One of the other owners, Cole, has made a good effort to make things right with this issue and there have been some policies and procedures revised based on my feedback. Its nice to know they actually care. ORIGINAL POST: The functional medicine offered there is only a way to steer people into using one of their services. For $700 I got the same blood tests that I get when I have a physical along with a 30 minute meeting with a functional medicine doctor (hardly enough time to discuss in-depth health issues). Even the doctor admitted "these are not functional medicine tests". Then they escort you out to try to sign you up for services. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, I was met with defensive excuses and irrelevant justifications. If you want functional medicine (which is amazing when done right), find a solo practitioner so you can get real health advice.

I told of one of my issues. He told of one treatment, the cost and that it was not covered by insurance. I told him I would need to have time to consider that treatment. He showed me to the door. My other issues that I had come there for help was not addressed.

Today I had a laser resurfacing treatment done by Carrie. It was a comfortable experience and Carrie was an amazing practitioner. She is kind, caring and she made me feel totally at ease. I then had a lip lift and a little facial Botox. This process was virtually painless. I highly recommend this spa and I am definitely coming back to Med Matrix!
